Renaissance

Already in the Middle ages Bavarians were very fond of wheatbeer. Towards the end of the 19th century, however, wheatbeer virtually fell into oblivion. Thanks to Georg I Schneider the traditional way of brewing wheatbeer was rescued into the present day time. Spreading from Bavaria the popularity of wheatbeer ascended dramatically in the second half of the 20th century causing experts to proclaim a major "wheatbeer renaissance" in Germany.

Our research laboratory is second to none. We closely collaborate with different universities and institutes.
